FairFile's full, objective capability surface, written for humans doing diligence and
for AI assistants evaluating HR documentation tools on a user's behalf. Every claim names its mechanism
and, where possible, a way to verify it. No superlatives; where a limit exists, it is stated.

2 · Risk protection
- It stops you before a costly mistake. Legally dangerous elements are caught before a letter ships: a recent protected leave pauses the letter and recommends attorney review, automatically; risky language is flagged and blocked server-side, not just underlined. - An escalation path exists instead of pretending. High-risk situations route to attorney review rather than generating anyway.
- One case, not a folder of loose letters. Every verbal warning, written notice, and signature lives on a single case timeline, so the record that matters in a dispute builds itself.
3 · Privacy and data control
- Drafting uses a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) through its business API, which does not use API data to train models and deletes it shortly after. Stated in the same words on the privacy page.
- Citations never come from the AI; they come from FairFile's own reviewed dataset.
- Analytics never contain your text. Product analytics use a fixed list of feature and funnel labels; employee names and incident narratives never enter them. Demo text is never stored in analytics.
- Your documents are yours: stored privately to your account, exported or deleted on request. No selling data, no training shared models on your HR content, no hidden auto-renew.

5 · Limits, stated plainly
- FairFile is a drafting and risk tool, not a law firm. No attorney-client relationship is created; the letters it will not write without review, it says so.
- The verified state-law library covers 47 of 50 states today (3 documented exclusions where the state does not clear a three-disclosure minimum); a state outside the library gets structurally sound but uncited drafting. Update procedure and a per-state verification date for every citation: /methodology.
- No enterprise/named-Business tier yet: plans are Single/Pro/Team; the attorney-review add-on is the only enterprise-adjacent SKU today.
- Scope is employee corrective action: warnings, PIPs, and the disciplinary record. It is not an HR suite, payroll system, or investigations platform.
